In keeping with our purpose statement of the Academy, our NAPA Annual Spring CME Conferences provide a loyal and faithful service to the medical profession and to the public by developing and enforcing continuing educational programs for Physician Assistants and the Academy membership. Traditionally, our lectures focus on primary care as well as specialty care topics. Earning Category I CME hours and enjoying the atmosphere with peers in our profession is the focus of the 4-day conference. NAPA strives to maintain a high quality conference including CME, meals, and entertainment at an affordable cost.

    This Year's Activities

    Wednesday Evening Sessions

    Start earning CME hours early! Our lectures will begin at 5 pm and each lecture you attend earns you a chance to win "The Early Bird Award" and a FREE registration to the 2018 or 2019 NAPA Spring CME Conference. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the 7 p.m. lecture. You must be present to win.

    Welcome Reception

    Join your colleagues at the Welcome Reception beginning at 8 p.m. following the evening lectures. All conference attendees are welcome to enjoy this casual event filled with socializing, appetizers and drinks.

    Thursday CME

    Wake up early to a great full breakfast on NAPA! Enjoy your choice of dual-track lectures offered all day.

    Exhibit Hall

    Pharmaceutical, patient education, and health resource information will be available in the exhibit hall from Thursday at 8 a.m. until Friday at Noon. Plan to check in at the exhibit hall booths, stamp your passport, and be entered into a drawing to win prizes. Specific time is allotted in the schedule on Thursday and Friday to visit the exhibit hall.

    Thursday Awards Luncheon

    NAPA will recognize this year’s deserving award recipients during this luncheon. This event is for conference attendees only.

    Thursday Evening Entertainment

    Join us at 6:30 p.m. for a buffet dinner followed by a motivational presentation by Nebraska native, Mitch Arnold. Mitch is married to a PA and resides in Nebraska. He will draw the attention of the audience while he discusses his physical disability resulting from a childhood vaccine, and how he learned to capitalize on strengths and work around weaknesses. Conference attendees and their guests are welcome to enjoy this meal and presentation.

    Thursday Evening Student Social

    PA Students are invited to meet and network with students from different programs. Plan to mix and mingle together Thursday evening beginning at 8 p.m.

    Friday CME

    Start your morning off with a buffet breakfast sponsored by NAPA and enjoy another full day of valuable topics in primary care and speciality medicine.

    Friday General Membership Meeting & Luncheon

    Plan to attend NAPA's Annual General Membership Meeting to keep up-to-date on what is happening within NAPA and any changes to PA practice in Nebraska. Only NAPA members will have voting privileges at this meeting, but all conference attendees are welcome to enjoy the meal. Winners of the exhibit hall prizes will be announced and PA students will draw winners for the annual raffle at the conclusion of the luncheon. Receive 2 Category II CME credits for attending.

     

    Friday Afternoon Workshops

    If youi're interested in hands-on CME opportunities, attend one of our 2-hour workshops. One workshop features intrauterine devices and their  indications for use; the other features the use of the slit lamp. The fee is $20, and space is limited to 30 participants each. Registration is first come, firs served. No students, please.

     

    Friday Evening SA-CME

    Join us Friday evening for a PANCE/PANRE review presented by Certified Medical Educators. This session will cover the GI and musculoskeletal systems. By attending the full session, you will earn 5 SA-CME credits which converts to 7.5 Category I CME. You will be awarded a separate CME certificate for this event so you must be present to receive this at the close of the lecture. There is no additional fee for attending. A boxed dinner will be served during this lecture.

    Saturday CME

    Earn more CME hours on Saturday, starting with the 7 a.m. lecture. Early morning lectures include a continental breakfast. Wrap up the conference with a chance to win the "Last PA Standing Award." Each lecture you attend will give you a chance to win a FREE registration to the 2018 or 2019 NAPA Spring CME Conference. The drawing will be held at the close of the 11 a.m. lecture. You must be present to win.
