Wayne has been a PA for over 40 years. Throughout this time, He has had a positive impact on the PA profession, his community and our country. He worked for 17 years in Emergency Medicine before transitioning to PA education. He recently retired from full time faculty with the UNMC PA Program but remains on as Adjunct faculty.

NAPA’s Physician of the Year Award Criteria

Dr. Connely is with ENT Physicians of Kearney. He was nominated by his PAs, Renee Craft and Megan Wilson.
Dr. Connely has served the Kearney community and rural Nebraska for over 28 years. He hired his first ever PA in 2015, and since then has realized the value of a PA and been a champion for the profession and PA students since.
