Nebraska Academy of PAs Scholarships
NAPA recognizes Michael Grutsch as the creator of the NAPA scholarship program which has awarded over $200,000 since its inception. Grutsch has been described by his peers as one of the founding fathers of NAPA. Grutsch graduated from PA school in 1975 as a member of the inaugural physician assistant class at UNMC. He served as NAPA President in 1975, 1976, 1980 and 1995. He spent much of his career working in rural Nebraska in many capacities. Grutsch retired in 2014 as a Program Manager at the DHHS Division of Public Health Office of Professional and Occupational Investigations.
